The ‘90s were as rough as they were because of bad and cheap hires and a lack of investment in the facilities.

We don't have that now. And I tend to feel like the amount of injuries that we are facing to key players would derail a season (at least for natty championship expectations) for any good coach. The issue here is that, especially in the KY game, the team has seemingly given up. In the past O seems to have been able to get the team ready to play regardless of the situation. He seems to have lost that ability this year. This is troubling not only for this season but for the future as well if he sticks around.

The good news lsu is a good hire away from being back at the top in a short time. What saban did was magic. Completely changing the culture of the program and getting politics out of the program. LSU will be ok once O is terminated

O isn’t sticking around. He’s got 6 games, max, left. He’ll be fired when this season is over.

truthfully, when we didn't have so many expecations, it was pretty damn fun.

The Curley years weren't fun. The ones before that and even Dinardo years after were (mostly) fun.

This happened because the moron decision-makers at LSU hired Joe Alleva who should have been professionally ruined after his perfidy while at Duke. Alleva hires a moron to be head coach and presto, the football program runs off the rails.

It's college football. This should have no bearing on your life unless you are on that staff.

LSU's first of 6 straight losing seasons in football happened in 1989. Basketball was fun as we had Chris Jackson and added Shaq a year later. Baseball was just getting rolling, winning the first title in 1991. But to be honest, baseball was not nearly as popular as it is now. It's not fun to watch happen. I attended games in the early 90s where there was less than 60,000 in stands. And it wasn't that bad in the mid-90s. 1995-1997 was pretty fun. And the downturn only lasted two years.

Take a deep breath and remember it’s just a game and doesn’t affect your life one bit. As much as I dislike the fact that LSU is losing (lived through the dark days of the 90s), I’m over a loss after the final gun has sounded. Can’t let it affect your everyday life.

1. Take advantage of the downtime and learn to do something that can help you. Maybe start trading stocks on Robinhood or something like that
2. Write a handwritten letter to Scott Woodward to vent your frustration
3. Watch YouTube replays of 2019 and other big games instead of watching all our SEC rivals kick arse
4. Be patient because we’ll have a new coach in January or February if he comes from the pros and we’ll be competitive again next year

Bourbon.

Expensive bourbon for the good times.

Cheap bourbon for the bad times. You'll use a lot more of it.

Baseball and basketball here to save the day!

Basketball is already rolling - baseball looks like it just made a spectacular hire who'll bring the program back to the glory days.

When I was at LSU we never had a winning season, Archer and Hallman years. I'm beyond blessed to have been in the Dome to watch them win 3 NCs. Remember what fans of other schools would do just to watch their team win one. Perspective and hope. LSU will get better and college games are entertainment to us and there are far other more important things in all of our lives.

I was at LSU from 1999-2003 (4.5 years for me since I double majored). Luckily I was still there for the 2003 season since I graduated that December.

Still crazy to think about… We experienced the absolute bottom of the dregs my freshman year in 1999 for Dinardo’s final year. I would have never ever ever believed that LSU could win a National Championship the year I graduated. It was a wild ride.

This definitely sucks, but we’ll bounce back quick and strong, and everybody will be hungry again…

We had losing seasons for my four years at LSU...the right coach will turn this around quickly.

Were you all Curley Hallman? My entire college career as a full-time student was Dinardo. The first 2 years were pretty fun. The last two were awful
