1) buy your season tickets/improve your season ticket location when people aren’t renewing.
2) wait
3) sometimes the games won’t be as fun- turn game day as a time to catch up with old friends. The Mrs and I invite a set of friends to every home and most away game- mainly old college friends that we haven’t seen in a few years. It’s a great time to rekindle a friendship.
4) continue to send financial support. Money is the lifeblood of the program, if we stop supporting- administration doesn’t have the financial ability to fix problems. You don’t stop contributing to your 401k when the market is down, you buy more. Same principal here.
5) be patient again.
6) pray you will be able to share another 2019 season with a child of your own one day.

The only positive thing I can tell you is that the “ride back up” is so much more fun anyway

So once we do hire the right coach, you’ll enjoy the program’s rise

2000-2003 was probably the period I enjoyed LSU football the most. Don’t get me wrong, the titles in 2007 and 2019 were awesome, but there’s just something different about the rise to the top

What kind of drugs was a 21 year old you taking during the last 2 years of Les Miles?

Be patient.

I was at LSU during the Dinardo era. At the time it seemed like LSU would always suck in football but now all that seems like just a blip in time. This too shall pass.

Anybody notice that when miles was the coach , we use to almost always be in a fricking nail biter . It seemed like our games were very close and extremely stressful . It seemed like we had those type games 3 or 4 times more than the other top programs.

I wishe we could find a good stat that quantifies that. Then we could compare it to other teams. I guess it’s possible to do that on your own but it would take a while and I’m not spending time on something like that.

Just wonder if it seemed like that to everyone.
Miles and the game clock were from different dimensions lol so that may have something to do with it.
Btw have y’all ever seen a coach blow through timeouts like o does. He did that shot before we started, “check with me ” , as well

96 & 97 were pretty fun as a student coming off of the Hallman years but it went south rather quickly. I graduated in 5/2000 so Saban had been hired already but I never saw him coach a game as a student.

Good news is we'll rebound quickly more than likely. If we hire the right coach.... which is always a crap shoot.

Life is a roller coaster. Ups & downs.

When you're at the bottom, the only way to go is up.

I found this to be true as well. Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't trade the national championships for anything. But it became more about winning and less about having fun at the games, and it hasn't returned since.
I thought maybe it was just me.

Same…spoiled fan here. First LSU teams I really really watched and was all in on were Saban coached teams. This is the first year where the LSU brand is pretty much an afterthought.

Even last year, LSU was talked more highly of.

Watching LSU in the 90's was better for me. I had zero expectations. Going to a bowl game was something to celebrate. And since not every game was televised like it is now, watching LSU was a pretty special thing in the house. I also didn't have to plan around my Saturday for the LSU game if it wasn't televised.

Now, we have the weight of some pretty lofty expectations. Pretty much a title or nothing which is not as enjoyable. But that's the price of success.
