Ordered mine in November and got it 2 weeks befor Ida. We had to request our money back and give him a drop dead date and then all of the sudden we had a generator.

He told me 12 weeks and it would be here in February then he told me two weeks every two weeks until July.

Then the warden took over(wife) and we had it done shortly after.

Anyone had better luck than me?

Installers aren't getting much inventory from their suppliers. You will probably have better luck searching online and having one shipped to your house then have your guy install it for you. It may cost you a few extra dollars for the install b/c the installer isn't making anything off the generator.

Occasionally, you may see some inventory popup on Home Depot or Lowes' sites. You can also usually get something within 4-6 weeks from power equipment direct depending on the model you need.

Another thing to keep in mind is that Generac isn't shipping anything with the wifi modules b/c they are short. You'll get it about 6 months later from what I've been told. The generator will run just fine, but you can't monitor it from the phone until that module is installed.

You can get a Kohler or Cummins more quickly, for what it’s worth. You’ll also have a superior generator.

This. The generac does not seem adaptable to harsh environments for extended periods of time without electricity. Have your electrician price one of listed models here.
