But, should it be a big deal when #6 beats a lower ranked opponent, even on the road? Would be a bigger deal if the ratings were reversed and we beat them.

Thoughts?

They were still a top 10 team.... doesn't really matter if we were 2 ranks lower it is still a big deal.

uhh..beating a top 25 team on the road is a big win no matter what you are ranked.

its even bigger when that team is top 10, is a conference rival, and you have a freshman QB.

Because it's been 12 years since we won there.

Beating Auburn at Auburn is a BIG deal even if they were unranked. It doesn't happen very often. Savor it, but don't expect it every time.

are you being serious kid??? I don't care if they were ranked 125th when we played them!!! Up until Saturday, we had not beat those figs at Jordan-Hare in 8 YEARS!!! Does that answer your question Not to mention the fact that if we had lost to them, it would have been very hard to get to the BCSNCG

just add the whole "havent won there in 8 years" thing and the fact that the winner of that game almost always wins the secw.

even on the road?

ESPECIALY on the road when it comes to Jordan-Hare! Its not just a road game when you are talking about this series. The home team had won every year since 2000.

Seriously, is your birthdate Nov 5 of last year or what?

So, the quality of our wins are to be judged on the arbitrary rankings of a bunch of sportswriters 3 weeks into the season?

When everybody in the SEC and their brothers were picking AU to win the West this year because we don't have a QB with experience and we toast them in their place for the first time in a long time, its A VERY BIG DEAL!

Here are mine. If a two teams are separated by only 4 positions in the polls...then the home team should be favored...period. This was a huge road win.

Don't get me wrong, I'm ecstatic that we won and I hate 'em as much as the rest of you but I was just wondering, aside from the other details, how big a deal it would be. Kind of like UF beating TN at Knoxville. You expect UF to win (hell, they expect to win) so when it happens should it be that big a deal? Again, I'm fired up too but just wondering.

I'm glad we broke the home field streak first.....

Now we have two in a row, and heading home next year... Is it too soo to be talking thumbs like we are with Bama?

Do you remember which team ws favored to win the West?
It's a BIG deal at the end of the season when we are aiming for a conference championship.
