For all of the things the Braves do well, there have been some really bad baserunning blunders in the worst possible spots.

It would have been a brutal collision, but couldn’t Soler have run over his arse there? You could see him slow up just a bit when he saw the catcher move up the line to get the throw. I’m sure he thought dude was going to 2nd for the double play and was caught off guard. Oh, well—shite. At least he had to throw 20+ pitches.

That wasn't a baserunning blunder though.

A groundball to the opposite side of the field will always see the guy at third break for home. Just incredibly unlucky where it was hit.

Bat didn’t cross the plate. Umps rarely call that a strike because it’s not.

I’m surprised they didn’t review the play at the plate. It looked like the catcher might’ve tagged him late.
