Democrats more open to criticism of Biden within party than Republicans for Trump (Pew)

You and I both know that this data doesn't refer to politicians but to the general public (i.e. ordinary people who identify as Republicans versus Democrats).
So either read the damn statistics or stop trying to argue something else.

I would argue it's the opposite of meaningless.
It's absolutely meaningful because ordinary voters will be electing Democrat/Republican politicians. Ordinary voters' level of hostility towards candidates who criticize their leaders will determine whether candidates who are vocal cheerleaders or non-loyalists to their leaders will be elected.

Trump did nothing wrong except be Orange and beat Hillary. We all knew everything that was said about him was lies. Most people I know that like Trump will admit he's an arse, but he was a strong President, and the country and the world was great when he was the leader. If the left hadn't manufactured stories about him, and was honest, he'd go down as one of the most effective, successful Prezs of all time.

Assuming that's true, it's probably because of the America we live in.
You quite literally have 95%+ of news outlets, sports leagues, hollywood, the music industry, corporate America, social media, etc. 24/7 pounding Trump and his family with mountains of criticism - some of it legit and a large portion of it outright false or outright ridiculous.
That tends to make people rally around eachother.
Imagine if everyone in your neighborhood hated you and your neighbor. Are you going to openly bitch about the speeding ticket your neighbor got as easily as the 80+ other homes will bitch about that one guy who got a speeding ticket?

If dems are critical of Biden and the MSM doesn't report it, it will remain hidden. If some RINO says Trump farted in the elevator, it will be reported endlessly.
