We're obviously upset. We saw it coming months ago. We knew it was a matter of time when the wheels would start coming off. After Ed Orgeron caught the proverbial "lightning in a bottle" with Joe Burrow and Joe Brady, he didn't (or couldn't) hire the best coordinators. His roster management has been horrid. We've seen attrition seemingly like no other college program in history. The loss at UCLA. Literally no running game whatsover this year. And then last night.

All of that on top of what Woodward may already hold in his pocket from the Title IX allegations and has been waiting to act upon.

So, if now's the time, how will it go down?

Is Scott Woodward trying to enjoy a typical Sunday with his family, and the phone starts ringing? He speaks with a couple of LSU power broker donors. Or, does Woody take the initiative and contact a couple of trusted memebers of the BOS and informs them he is ready to formulate a plan and set the wheels in motion. Will he sit in his home office this evening and type up a plan of action and a potential list of coaches or their representatives to contact this week?

Or, is it just too soon?

I would guess contingencies started being put together well before UCLA.

The NCAA/Title9 stuff combined with 2020 season probably got stuff being worked up quietly behind the scenes (and with attorneys) early this year

But yes, UCLA it became “here we go, this is actually happening now.”

I think Woodward has already sent out feelers after last season, just in case it continued to this season like it has.

I don't think he's just now going to start looking around. I think he's been doing that for a while now.

As for when, it's hard to say but last night got it one step closer to pulling the trigger on it.

I'm betting he's sitting on his recliner watching the Saints game and reading TD, and thinking to himself that maybe this is what the fans want.

It’s already started but nothing will be announced until Woodward has the new coach locked in.

My guess is the season will play out and we will finish 4-8 or 5-7 then very soon after the season ends it will happen.

If your Woody, you have to set the wheels in motion NOW. Start putting feelers out for your next guy. Keep everything tight lipped and after the A&M game, make your move.

If Woodward waited until after last night to begin putting feelers out, he isn’t the man for the job
