But the unfortunately reality is that majority of LA Tech faithful and admin would rather have boiling tar poured on them than return to the Belt with us and ULM.
Southern Miss must be bleeding money to drop from CUSA to the Sun Belt for better travel

S Miss has been really struggling in FB lately but how is a move to the Sunbelt going to help?

It will save USM money in travel and also pay out over $1M more in media rights.

Please provide a link with the details to the Sun Belt media payouts.

Yeah the Sun Belt had a great year last year but it’s still the lowest conference in the perception of many fans

UAB and WKU are left out of this round of AAC realignment they will be offered SBC invites.
WKU ain’t going to AAC .
Wait a minute, pretty sure there were some nutty SBC posters that said schools like WKU & North Texas, who left the Belt would never be invited back.

Sources: Air Force and Colorado State will also be staying in the Mountain West. They had been heavily courted and considered the AAC, along with Boise State and San Diego State. All four schools will remain in the Mountain West.

This is why you don’t read internet rumors. If it isn’t being reported by the major media players it isn’t set in stone.
There are so many moving parts to this at the G5 level

I am not sure who said it before in this post, but they were dead on about these MWC schools.
It would be a financial nightmare to get rid of regional and rival matchups to send your volleyball team, and other sports teams that make little to no revenue for the athletic department, to Florida or Washington DC if you are located in the Mountain West region.
It was a lateral move for those schools. AAC needs to focus on teams in their respective region. Southwest, Southeast, or Mid-Atlantic.

SBC 2019 $33,072,881
AAC 2020 $111,278,729
