Regions of China without power for manufacturing plants. Sounds like next big impact to raw material supplies.

We have supplies, we need ports to release goods.

Fox had a good article about it.

The ports aren’t 24 hours, but they are saying they can’t go 24 hours because they don’t have the trucks to take the goods, or anyone to take away the empty containers (they are preventing unloading of more).

Everyone is blaming some other part of the chain.

Sounds like a cluster frick.

In my industry some things are backed up until July of 2022 as it is. This isn’t going to be good.

40% of our imports come in through ports in California. Gavin Newsom and Eric Garcetti have been fricking nightmares to the ports. There are 80+ massive container ships sitting off the California coast for months on end. For once China is appropriately pissed at us for this since they need those ships back and they aren’t returning for like two months.

Supply chain shuts down, less impacts to environment… fewer vehicles built, fewer ships. To make worse, China holidays coming up.

Part of the plan bro. They are not pissed. They are crippling our manufacturing on purpose. We need the crap on those boats bad. Trust me I am in a industry that needs it bad. It’s going to shut us down.

I was building a "My Salon Suite" near Chicago earlier this year. Couldn't get the LVT floor tile delivered because it was sitting in port waiting to be offloaded in Los Angeles. It had been sitting in port for five weeks at that point. Of course, COVID was everyone's culprit for causing the delays.

Price of metal studs for my drywall subs is currently going through the roof with another 10% increase expected in October.

We need ports to be fully staffed and working 24/7 at this point. A lot of people to point the finger at. I’m just glad my job title includes drayage and logistics and not port operations manager.

Just a ploy by China to get exemptions from “global warming gasses”.
