Ohio State?

you can't punish them for their opponents not doing enough to be ranked... and they are #1 b/c they are, so far, the most dominate program in CFB today...

Because of their name. And their handling of highly ranked Virginia.

Also their dismantling of OSU.

No games left against ranked teams.*

I'm not normally on here trolling the Pac10, but they TERRIBLE this year. Every team but USC has lost atleast 1 OOC game, and I think 3 teams have lost 2 OOC games.

By keepin them number 2, SOS on the Computers would have kept them out of the BCS. As it is, the PAC 10 is so poor that the SOS may still keep them out of the BCS. That is why the voters had to move them up to number 1. There competition is so poor.

Yes...you CAN punish them for their opponents. If that's your logic then anyone with a powder puff schedule that's undefeated should be number 1. USC wins no more than 8 games in the SEC.

USC's schedule may not be as hard as others, but they are a really really good football team. I don't know if there is a team in the NCAA that can beat them if they are playing up to par.

I hate USC and think the Pac-10 is a joke as much as the other guy, but I have to admit that they are a really good this year.

We just have to hope that they slip up and beat themselves like they normally do.

It's really an absolute embarrassment. Oregon is still ranked, but no way they go through the season with 4 or 5 loses

I gotta agree. I reallyreallyreallyreally loathe USC, but they are the best team out there right now. Solid QB, Solid RBs, dominant lines. Decent speed.

I'm sure they will chug through the season unscathed. The battle will be for No. 2.

If all other teams finish with one loss, I think an SEC team with one loss will be number two.

They play Oregon (still in the top 25).

But yeah, it's a joke.

USC would be a top tier team in the SEC, but they would not be the conference champ for 12 consecutive years or whatever that insanely boring stat is. It must keep life in the Pac-10 pretty boring and predictable. Every year USC wins the best recruits and keeps dominating the conference. When will it get competitive? USC would be similar to LSU, UF, UGA and Auburn in the SEC. They would win the conference once every 4-5 years. USC is a great program, but as a college football fan, it is a shame that they play in the pathetic 10!

They are really good. They very well may be the best team in college football. But who do they play that proves this? This is the issue, not whether or not they are good.
