a really good Penn St team

*I know this post is in reference to Auburn, but breaking down their opponent from their singular loss

Excluding Auburn, Penn St has beat;

1-2 Wisconsin (Lone win over 3-1 Eastern Michigan)
1-3 Ball St (Lone win over 1-3 FCS Western Illinois)
3-1 FCS Villanova (whose 3 wins are over FCS Schools with a combines record of 2-9)

Outside of Penn St, Auburn's Opponents have a combined Record of 4-7 (3 of the wins against FCS school and the 4th win Ga St beat Charlotte)

Bonus: Just to go a little further
Eastern Michigan's (Being the only other school on this post with a +.500 Record) three wins are against;

1-3 FCS St. Francis (PA)
0-4 UMass
1-3 Texas St

Auburn played a really good Penn St team really nice 2 weeks ago…I think our fans are putting too much stock in each teams performance last week..

Bo Nix has been horrible the last 3 games.

I suspect Auburn was looking to this game at LSU and that led to the questionable performance against Georgia State.

Tank probably goes for 200+ on the ground as our LBs fail to fill gaps or run themselves out of plays. Don’t worry though, they’ll make the tackle 12 yards down the field so they can fill the stat sheet.

Notre dame ran away with it, Wisconsin led in the 4th. Two losses to top 10 teams doesn’t mean Wisconsin is bad.

To your point though, they appear to be a tier below contender for the west. But there are only 5 teams you can definitely say are better than them in conference at this point. We’ll probably have a better picture after this week.

This is retarded. This LSU team (and every fan knows it) isn't good enough to underestimate ANYONE.

It would be stupid to underestimate anyone considering LSU barely beat a terrible Mississippi State team and got dominated by a UCLA team who is nowhere near playoff caliber.

Auburn has a lot of talent, they always do.

They just usually aren't as deep as we are at most positions. Every now and then they're deep at RB and WR, but usually they only have one stud at skill positions and don't have the defensive depth to rotate DL or to put five DBs on the field that can handle our 3/4/5 WRs.

I still feel like Auburn has stolen more games from us in the last 20 years than other teams. 2004, 2006, 2010 and 2016 were all so damn close where we did not get a break and they did.

Now granted in that time period they beat the shite out of us in 2014 and last year AND we have definitely won a lot of close games, but still frick Auburn. We are up 8 games on them in the all time series and need to push that to double digits.

Auburn is not very good right but neither is LSU. They could definitely come in and steal one with the right game plan and motivation.

MIGHT win 2-3 more conf games. Would love to be wrong though.

You are gonna be wrong.

LSU will beat AUB, KY, A&M, and Arky just for starters.

I also think we have a shot at Florida and Ole Miss.

Bama is the only "L" I am willing to consider.
