For a starting QB… gotta go back more than a half century - Mike Hillman who started 12 games from 1968-69. Career numbers for Clausen @ LSU 5 of 12 for 35 yds and 1 INT. He transferred to UT in the Spring of 2003, and beat LSU post Rita during a Monday night game.

LSU was winning 21-0 at halftime. UT scored 17 pts in the final Qtr. LSU 4Q stats … 11 total plays, -5 yds rushing, 2 INT’s, 2 punts. LSU could only manage a FG in OT, Gerald Riggs scored a TD for the Vols to win the game. Robert Meachem was on that UT team

Thanks to Got Blaze for mentioning Mike Hillman. He was the starting quarterback my first year living in Baton Rouge after my father's company transferred him to the captial city.

Hillman was one of my all time favorites at LSU. Just so much fun to watch him play. Smooth, and was also a good runner until he had some knee problems. From Lockport.

Not long after he finished at LSU, he was a counselor at a quarterback camp I went to in high school. Nice guy.
