When he’s with Hanny doing the post game show, he’s ok. When he is in full on Condon mode, I can’t stand him. For the last 20+ years I usually change the station when I hear his voice.

'82 easily...that '82 team should have been playing for the National Championship...freaking tie against Tennessee, 3 point losses to Miss State and Tulane and then 1 point loss to Nebraska...

Tulane blows goats, they have beaten LSU 4 times in the past 70 Years.

realize that was a 9-3 Tulane team ranked in the top 20, but I can’t imagine they had the talent of the Tiger

For me 82 that was a very good LSU team, the best I had seen up to that point I was 15 in 82. Stovall was a great player not so much as a coach, he was essentially the fill in after Bo Rein died.

I remember 82 not 79 and 81 but based on the record and the fact I was there I say 82. Coming off one of the most exciting games I can remember, the orange game against FSU, the Tulane loss absolutely sucked.

82
That was a damn good LSU team. Very disappointing.

All I recall from '81 was being in the Dome with TU fans as bad as any fans I have ever seen. Like in your face soy cucks yelling LSU low life mother freakers we are beating the freak out of you. Beyond obnoxious. Beyond.
It was the poster child of winning with Zero Class. None.

After Foley was a foot short of winning at the end of the year before too.
TU Stadium was rocking and full of LSUCKS signs everywhere.

We should play them every year on Thanksgiving week since we don't have a true "rivalry" game that week. Looking back at past years it looks like we played them towards the end of the season almost every year. Also, I am sure TAMU will start playing Texas that week once they join the SEC.
ETA: Friday night game would be great since there are no other SEC games that day.

82. If I recall, LSU was a 5 TD favorite. The weather played a part for sure and RR was hot but both teams played on the same field.

2lame university, their fans and the uptown New Orleans hate LSU and would do anything to hurt LSU. At that time this included the Sugar Bowl.
That hate is alive and well. Just go to a 2lame baseball game wearing an LSU hat to see. If I was in charge I would only play them in Baton Rouge.

There is absolutely zero reasons to play tulane. In the past 25+ yrs, they have never sold their allotment of tickets to games in Tiger Stadium.. Note that there are no tulane ranters here clamoring to play LSU.They have no interest in playing LSU. Every chance their athletic dept. has had a chance to screw LSU for various games in N.O. they jump at it, using LSU money to subsidize their athletic dept. They have also demanded that any series be home & home: their pretty little stadium in Up Town N.O. sits mabe 50K. LSU usually clears a million plus for home games. Do the math. And the main reason there are no SEC games on Friday nites is a gentleman's agreement not to have area high schools go up against college football.
