82. Besides the sting of the loss it was the year that Tulane students let Mike out of his habitat.

1981 was one of the worst games any LSU team has ever played, but 1982 was the most inexplicable. LSU had played excellent football all season long had beat Alabama and blasted Florida State. They were much better than Tulane and should have gone to the Orange Bowl with a stellar 9-1-1 record. I don't know what happened to the Tigers that night.

All were bad. Sorry we don’t play them annually anymore… I say 62-0 every year!

81 was the worst experience I ever had - Tulane still had fans back then and that game was in the Dome and they were obnoxious.

Then they beat us the next year in TS and also in the PMAC in a blowout in the first round of the NIT. That was a rough year I'll tell you.

'82 easily...that '82 team should have been playing for the National Championship...freaking tie against Tennessee, 3 point losses to Miss State and Tulane and then 1 point loss to Nebraska...

realize that was a 9-3 Tulane team ranked in the top 20, but I can’t imagine they had the talent of the Tiger

Different era, the gap wasn’t the same as it is now

For me 82 that was a very good LSU team, the best I had seen up to that point I was 15 in 82. Stovall was a great player not so much as a coach, he was essentially the fill in after Bo Rein died.

I remember 82 not 79 and 81 but based on the record and the fact I was there I say 82. Coming off one of the most exciting games I can remember, the orange game against FSU, the Tulane loss absolutely sucked.

82. If I recall, LSU was a 5 TD favorite. The weather played a part for sure and RR was hot but both teams played on the same field.
