Where are you going when you leave?

Most leave at halftime so nothing to worry about if you’re a real fan

Thats what I thought about the McNeese game too...not so much. Stayed until the end, hung out at the tailgate for another bit, was still awful. I know parking and traffic post any game in TS is terrible, just trying to plan a little easier escape this weekend. Usually stumble back to the camper and traffic is gone come Sunday morning when I head out, but outta time to bring and set up for the weekend.

There was an issue with BRPD for the Mcneese game.
I know it caused a big riff between agencies. Ill have to get the story again. I think it should be better this game, but dont be surprised if it isnt.

Burbank turns into Siegen.
Take it all the way to I10 eastbound.
We never have a problem moving out.
Now, the walk from Tiger Stadium to Burbank is a bit of a trek.

The story is basically.... their chief changed the pay from an overtime assignment to extra duty pay. A lot of the older officers who have worked it for years opted out for several reasons.
They are now very short of officers working it.

The BR Policeman at East State Street and Dalrymple really screwed it up. The traffic, both lanes, from the parade grounds to I-10 is supposed to go countraflow thru the blinking red light at that intersection. Fortunately for us, we parked at Chimes Restaurant parking lot and went down E. Chimes to Carlotta to E State Street then turned left on Dalrymple. The people on Dalrymple from East State Street back to the stadium were stuck in 1 lane with a red light at East Street and a redlight at Highland Road. I walked from the stadium, after the game was over, and the traffic on Dalrymple from the parade grounds to East State street never moved. BR Cops were a mess. I just got lucky and we got out of there fast. Not sure what happened in other areas. Hopefully, they correct it this weekend.

This is wrong. I stay until the end each game. Traffic is often worse when people leave early.
I usually do not have a problem getting home. 25 minutes from the time I get up to leave after the game until I’m home is normal - that is walking and driving time. Last week took much longer because they did not have two lanes going out to Stanford Ave and the traffic cops were doing nothing. It was chaos compared to past years.

I think a lot of the problem after the McNeese game was that there really was no contraflow infrastructure in place. I park over in the free Parker Coliseum lot and S. Stadium is usually contraflow from Highland east to Stanford with cops controlling lights or traffic flow, but it was just one lane out which made for a massive mess. Contribute that to the lack in LEO's around campus in general likely due to hurricane recovery.

Same Stadium, same location.
Same roads.
Same Interstate.
And somehow, we manage to frick this up just about every year.

I park at Pleasant Hall and always stay to the end. First time ever I couldn’t get on Dalrymple in 30 seconds. No contra flow so made my own up to highland to state to Dalrymple and out. Never had to slow down

yep, dalrymple is not contraflow when the fans clear out early. Last week the traffic cops let highland/dalrymple light go through its normal cycle backing up traffic past indian mounds.

Police on Nickolson by Bernie Moore and Lot 106 do a great job post game of sitting in their air conditioned cruisers and are absolutely of no assistance. Another sign of a once great program dying a slow death
