Can't speak to the success but there is still a ton of debris/grass mats all over the Mississippi Sound/Lake Borgne and I'm sure the flooding from this week made it even worse. Keep an eye out when running.

Been coming across any slackers under the debris/grass?

The water has been so dirty since Ida, I think I've seen one report of tripletail and that was south of ship island in some clean water.

Yeah that's what I hear. I had some good nights with a gig back in July. Was hoping to get some more before fall set in. Will wait for more water clarity.

I'm hoping to get out there next week. Hopefully it clears up some.

Last week there were tons of reds by the opening in the great wall of the intercoastal, a few trout. The water is still a little high, murky, and has some debris, but you'll catch more out there than at home.

No reports on the lake itself yet.

Are all of the landings down there back up and running?

The ramp at southshore (west side of Chef) was ok, but the shop was not there. Some neighbors just used the ramps anyway. Buy bait elswhere, use artificial, or cast net the plentiful pogies.

Fished inside the marsh in the rain Friday. Water was surprisingly clean the week before now dirty again post Nick. Shrimp everywhere that's all specks would hit, no color plastics would entice them.

On top under a cork or bottom drop shot depending on water depth.

Hopedale Marina is operational as is Campo's.

Going this Friday to chase reds.

Didn't go into Lake Borgne.

Not many boats out.

Nine specks one 20" released.

I’m heading to BM saturday. Will look for some trout in the morning and then sight fish some reds. Would like to cross from the pearl but not sure what pearl river is looking like after the storm?

The Pearl just crested yesterday. The water was surprisingly good after Ida, but it's been horrible since Nicholas. Probably gonna take another 10 days or so after the river gets down and we go through this neap tide.
