I'm not quite done with him yet, after 10/2 I'll form a better opinion. I'll give the coordinators time to figure things out. We still are not sure on how good UCLA is, they play #19 ASU on 10/2 and then Oregon on 10/23.

Thats kind of the problem though. Your expectations are starting to slowly fall to where beating a #19 team is meaningful. This was supposed to be a ten win, top 10 season.

Honest question, if UCLA turns out to be a top 15 team does that make the performance LSU gave acceptable?

If so, prepare for 7-5, and best, while being dominated by Auburn, Florida, Alabama and aTm. It’s cool though, right? Those teams are just really good.

One cannot bring in coordinators to allow them to "figure things out" in the SEC. That is lunacy.

NO, NO, NO!!

For a team like LSU, we should NOT hire unproven coordinators and let them cut their teeth here.

NO!

I thought this entire O experiment was to pay him less and hire the best coordinators. I thought that was absolute nonsense at the time (and posted that here, many times), but now that's entirely out the window.

You think Bama, Clemson, Ohio State, etc. hire newbie coordinators and give them time to figure things out?

Good lord.

That shouldn't really matter. I was flipping between that game and UGA-Clemson, and the difference was night and day. UCLA is not an elite team and honestly I wouldn't have believed you if you told me that LSU is only marginally less talented than Clemson. Everything was slower. UCLA may be a top 25 team, but they're not better than that which makes the performance unacceptable unless you're okay with being an 8-4 team despite recruiting second best in the division and having the second highest paid coach in the country.

Same position here.

Not a pumper at all but also recognize some people, especially here, always hated O and always will and even the glory of 2019 only temporarily shut them up.

And now many of those talk of character assassination and even physical assault against him. Some sick people out there.
