$163 billion — that’s how much the top one percent evades in taxes they owe each year. It’s unacceptable.
We’re going to change that with my Build Back Better Agenda, and use that money to invest in the middle class.

Seeing as he wants to spend 5+ trillion that seems like a drop in the bucket.

Who writes the tax laws? He’s such a disingenuous prick. Good lord.

Tax evasion is a crime. If these people are breaking the law, arrest them.
If they're just using the tax code as it currently stands, that's not called evasion.
It's bothers the everliving shite out of me that these fricktards feel like they can abuse the English language the way they do.

Far less than what you left in Afghanistan, dumb frick

That's it? I'm surprised it's only $163 billion that the top 1% are able to legally not pay under the existing law.
Posted on 9/8/21 at 2:32 pm to Seldom Seen
Oh yeah? How much do the top 1% pay in taxes and how does that compare to how much the other 99% pay?

Wait, Former VP Joe Biden, you spent nearly half a century in politics while those laws were made, why didn’t you speak up before? Oh, because you and your swamp creature buddies were all taking advantage of it by selling out your country.

I do believe Joe Biden just accused everyone in the top 1% of taxpayers of a criminal act (tax evasion is a felony).
This is defamation per se.
I certainly hope someone sues him.

Using established tax laws isn't "evasion", perv.
Posted on 9/8/21 at 2:35 pm to Seldom Seen
He needs more money and weapons to send to the Taliban terrorists to use against Americans.

"Tax Evasion" is a crime. Utilizing the tax code to one's advantage is just good business.
Flat tax is the answer.
A flat tax would mean everybody has an equal percentage of "skin in the game".

$163B, even annually, is flyshit compared to the 3T to 5T this idiot is planning on spending.

You don’t need to spend 5 trillion dollars to obtain 163 billion. If they are EVADING it…. You need to assign the IRS, that is already available, to assess and collect.
If it’s actual deductions codified in tax law….. this jelly brain just made the worlds worst case to spend Trillions of dollars.

Notice the deliberate language - "that's how much the top 1% EVADES in taxes they owe each year"
They let the mask slip. They believe ALL income belongs to the government. This is why when taxes go down (either by decreases in earnings, or tax cuts) the IRS refers to the shortfall as a "tax expenditure."
When taxes increase, it's called a "tax savings."
Those terms are only correct when all the money belongs to the government in the first place.

And the bottom 60% pay virtually nothing and can out vote tax payers...so, you know...

Imma CNN this...
President* claims that 1% are committing massive fraud on tax returns, without any evidence.

That’s a made up stat. If they were really evading, then you could just prosecute them.
If that’s a magical amount that you want them to pay, then pass the law.
