Thoughts?
This is a no-win game for LSU and they backed their self into this corner after going 5-6 since ‘19

Either we boat race them and it’s perfect and everyone just says- “yeah thats what you were suppose to do and where was that Effort and execution last week”

Or we dick around with them and it’s close and everyone starts sharpening their pitchforks.

I don’t think you see optimism unless you blow the doors off state, best Auburn at home and win @ Kentucky

Then you’re looking at 5-1 going into a brutal 3 game stretch of vs Florida, @ Ole Miss and @ Bama.

Even if you go 1-2 in that stretch and win out I think every one calms down at 9-3.

Especially if you close out beating A&M

What’s dangerous is if you drop one of the first 3. Go 0-3 in the big stretch and then lose to A&M. Which is very realistic. Likely even. Now you’re looking 6-6 in the face. That and you clean house. No matter the cost.

But no one is going to give able to forget getting pushed around by UCLA for a while. And rightfully so

Did y'all realize Troy was a borderline top 25 team that year? I don't know if they ever actually got ranked, but they were on the cusp the whole year.

Obviously, it was an inexcusable loss and should have never happened, but they were by no means a door mat that year.

Yeah, that team was good for their level. The ultimate sleeper team. They had 3 10 win seasons in a row around that point and clearly we slept on them.

The problem is that if we come out and look good against McNeese, does it really mean anything?

Most of their players would not be on LSUs scout team.

This is one of those games where a blowout win tells you absolutely nothing.

On the other hand, a sloppy closer than it should be won just confirms that the problems won’t be fixed until we have a new coaching staff.

I’m not sure ive ever heard a team admit that before ?

Well you'd never heard a coach hiring an assistant without even interviewing them or asking opposing teams fans to bring your arse down here, either

Did someone on the team or one of the coaches say this is "the plan" or is it the talking heads speculating?

Hopefully even O isn't dumb enough to come out before a game and say something like this.

Drawing plays in the dirt? Sounds like last week, and all of last year.

People comparing Troy to McNeese need to Google the two school.

If we lost it would be 100000000x worse.

Troy was a 10 win FBS team

McNeese lost to West Florida last week.

So we’re supposed to get mad at the staff because some mid-day radio guys are speculating about the game plan?

Some of you need to take a break.

I’m not too worried about this one. MSU isn’t even a good FCS program at the moment. However, next week could be a lot more interesting than it should be if we don’t improve fast.

I think this was just a comment from Hunt. Jeremy went on to explain the preparation for games like this. He said they'll prep for McNeese just like any other game. OP is just sensationalizing much like the media itself.

Because we all know Jeremy Hill is repeating what coaches told him.

Never change, TR.

Of course they are going to try and correct mistakes, who would not? As far as scheme goes, they will run the offense to help build confidence in Max and the running game.

I mean. It’s an FCS team. What are you going to do?

Next week’s CMU game, even though they are a lower tier GO5 team, is where you will see the direction of the team heading into Mississippi State.
