Stingley Sr is an ungrateful individual.

@1:09:58 Stingley Sr calls the average fan a idiot who knows nothing about the game. He then says "he holds this power" Does he mean that he holds the power over his son to make him compete or not, or opt out? I wonder how many idiots who know nothing about the game have helped to secure millions for this man and his family. This is pathetic.

Honestly, I don’t think the average ranter could line up all the positions and name the sets the teams are in. Fans tearing down Jr for what? He wasn’t the issue this game, but yet fans are smearing his character.

Aren’t you the same guy who attacked Stingley a few minutes ago in another thread that got whacked?
Nice fifth post.

Whether or not we listen to the interview, I think the consensus is that Sr. should just stop talking.

Hes taking offense to people saying his son quit because he knows how hard his kid competes and how seriously they take the game as a family. It's a natural reaction and a natural schism between parent and fan. He just happens to have a microphone in front of him.

How did LSU fans do this? Stingley would probably be making more if he went to Alabama

Anyone hating on players is either an alter troll or idiot. Hate on the coaches all you want but you are actively hurting the football program by hating on the players.

Has anyone else heard the story of Stingley Jr vs an NFL wide out in HS? The young man doesn’t quit, he got beat one day and stayed up overnight to not let the guy catch a pass at the next practice.

My only issue with the interview is that dad could have said that Jr could have done better on those two touchdown plays...or at least acknowledge those plays...otherwise, the interview is not as bad as some are making it out to be...

The Stingleys have more at stake here than anyone. I have no doubt the whole family has worked hard to support him.He had a couple of bad plays and people here are jumping him pretty hard, and not all of them know what they are talking about.
I understand dad’s impulse to defend his son ( and we probably don’t know everything Sting has done to cover for others), but dad should take breather.
And Jack Bech should get off social media.
Both are in no win environments right now.

His attempt at tackling the UCLA receiver on the sideline was weak.... guy shouldn't have scored.

Sting should learn how to tackle and he would do well to remember that as a leader the team looks to him for leadership.

Stingley Sr is apart of the problem with our program. Shows a lot about the culture. Players think they’re entitled to shite. Honey Badger didn’t act that way. Most players outside of OBJ and Guice didn’t act that way, and I’m sure I’m missing some more. Back when wearing number 7 wasn’t some big social media ordeal. Today’s players and coaches are all about self. The culture has gone to shite here. Les Miles at least kept some integrity and a good culture while he was here. O and company are like a bunch of wild orangutans who got loose in NYC.

The faster O gets canned, the better off we are. I hope McNeese beats us and we can fire him once and for all.

He needs his spotlight too since he was stuck between his dad and son.
