Schmitz said their meeting, however, was not pleasant, adding that the president reportedly spoke more about his own deceased son, former Delaware State Attorney General Joseph “Beau” Biden III, than he did Jared.

They didn't like the story about beau?

This is the most gut-wrenchingly disgusting thing I have ever heard.

Beau was, apparently, a good guy - haven't researched him but have no reason to think that he was anything but honorable. His service was routine - got a cushy assignment as an attorney in a protected area. But he deserves nothing more than a "thank you for your service" mention.

When the subject comes to those making the "ultimate sacrifice" he deserves no cache that would insert his experience into that discussion in any way.

It would be like delivering the 'official' condolences to the families of an airliner crash victims - and concentrating on your experience with model airplanes as a teenager and retelling the same story you have extolled in dozens of other settings about being so sad when one of them got broken while you were playing with it.

The handlers of this morally vacant ignoramus should be ashamed of themselves. Biden is beyond shame - always has been.

If he wasn't the son of the vice president, he would have received a meritorious service medal posthumously, not a LEGION OF MERIT (mostly reserved for Colonel and above).

Biden not only has those 13 heroes blood on his hands, but his lack of leadership and empathy spits in the face of ALL gold star families. As a proud US Army combat veteran of Iraq, the amount of anger i have felt since the attack has been quite frankly depressing. 20 years...after 20 years this is what we are left with? The amount of blood, sweat and tears each and every soldier has put into this and this administration absolutely blows it in the final days. Completely and utterly unacceptable. For as long as i live, i will think of Joe Biden and his cronies as the cowards they truly are. What a weak and pathetic man. Our soldiers deserved better!!

That didn’t happen just once. It happened on every single one that came out of that airplane. It happened on every single one of them. They would release the salute, and he would look down at his watch on every last one, all 13, he looked down at his watch,” Hoover said

They did. He did. He fricking brought up Beau and his selfless service to them. He looked at his watch after at least 5 caskets passed.

I’m not sure how one of the fathers didn’t punch him in his smug assed face.

OOPS!

It is so farcical, I didn’t even think about it violating TOS.

I hope the edit makes the cut.

Totally agree. If Biden truly treasures memories of Beau, he would let him rest in peace. Instead, he yanks his son out of the grave every time he needs a political shield or the pretense of empathy. It's sickening.
