ATV Winch Set Up

Need some opinions on winch set up. Just bought an almost brand new 2020 Suzuki King Quad 750 and want to put a winch on it.
Looking at the Harbor Freight Badlands 3500 and someone recommended Viper.
Badlands with upgrading to synthetic rope is still a little cheaper overall.

Either one should be fine, make sure to run power cable heavy enough to carry the winch.

I ran the Badlands 5000 on my Maverick with a cheap synthetic rope from Amazon. Worked just fine. For the price, definitely worth it.

Have a Badlands 9000 on the Jeep. Works like a charm.
Wouldn’t hesitate to buy another if needed.

I have a bandlands 5000 and replaced the steel cable with synthetic rope. Super ATV has a winch (4500?) that already has the synthetic rope. I went with badlands due to there being more reviews and there is an adapter for a wireless remote.

I would save and spend the money for a warn or superwinch. You can get Superwinches on sales at times. I would also suggest a Stongmade winch plate.
You don't need 3500# for an atv. Going with a 2500 will save you a little $

Buy once cry once. I have a superatv 3500 and it’s never given me a minute of trouble. Yanked out a 700 pioneer sunk in clay by tying my bike to a tree. Everything I read said warns wiring kits have gone way down hill.

I have had Vipers on my last 3 bikes. They are very good winches.

I’ve had good luck with Badlands and KFI. Not buying another Warn. For the record the Badlands 3500 and up are sealed. The 2500 is not.

That bike weighs 700lbs stock. I would get the 3500.

Def getting a 3500lb winch. It was minimal savings to go smaller and not worth it. Not worried about saving money just want to get something that will last.

For what it is worth, I have a Honda Rubicon with a 2500# Superwinch Terra series. These are designed for use with synthetic rope. The brake is not in the drum so there is not risk of cooking your rope like with other winches. I hunt some hell holes and winching 4 times a hunt is not uncommon therefore heat is a big issue for me. This which has held up to that tremendously well over the last six years. I have never seen a lack of power even with 100# of corn on the front and enough wood in back to slightly bend the rack mounts. I had to winch 7 times to get that load out. My bike weighs a little over 700 pounds the way it is set up. Not trying to get you to buy a 2500. Just sharing my experience in case it helps someone. Everybody want the 3500's today, especially on the larger atv's.
I have gone through many cheap winches. They work fine for a year or two but then fail. I even had one catch fire! If you are in and out of a lot of water or know you will be using you winch a lot a cheap winch will not last anywhere close to a quality one. You will save money in the long run with a good winch.

I don't know if it means anything, but Matt from Matt's off road recovery on youtube, runs badlands winches on all of his vehicles.

I have a badlands on my Gator mounted to a detachable mount so I can move it to the rear in case I need to pull from the rear. I’ve only had to use it one and it worked great
