Physical games don't actually exist anymore

Even if you buy a disc, you still have to download the game, and your ability to access that download is still predicated on owning a license that can be revoked, cuz that license is tied to an account (Xbox, PS, PC)
So no, you don't get anything out of owning a disc other than being a console peasant.
I WISH physical games were still around as I miss the big box PC stuff, but welcome to the future.

You do get the ability to sell/trade in/loan the game.

Do what I do. Wait a few years to buy games. They are $5 and you don't have to worry about any of this.
*May not be workable with games requiring other people to play/be interested in it to mass appeal.

Right, but you should just avoid those games forever

Too stressful. I've started to loathe boss fights as well.

It installs from the disc, not downloaded. If you don't have any internet access, it will install the game from the disc. It loads much faster from hard drive, so everything gets loaded there.

I have never seen a modern console game that can fit on a disc.

50GB is the cap for a double layer BD, and even that wouldn’t cut it for a modern release.

I always have. I love the idea of co-op games, but find them too stressful and with too steep of a learning curve to be enjoyable. It’s impossible to just “get into” a FPS these days because you die as soon as you spawn, and the match is over before you can even learn the controls. It’s all stress.

Then you should broaden your horizons. Control was 26GB. Horizon Zero Dawn Complete 48GB. Deathloop 29GB. Godfall 17GB.
Call of Duty and most Ubisoft games are absurd file size bloats, but that's not really the case for most games on PS5.

Damn, consoles nerf shite. Those two are 43GB and 67GB on Steam, respectively.
