Well most are unprincipled but there is a principled case to be made for not impeaching him. If we distort every constitutional protection and turn it into a raw political cudgel, we would be Democrats.

Where the frick are they????
Impeachment implies a group of DC Bureaucrats usurping power from the electorate. The impeach Trump BS SUCKED!!! If and when it is proven that Biden/Harris were fraudulently elected, THAT would be justification for impeachment, because it would represent a return of power to the electorate. Aside from that, screw the impeachment BS (and the President Harris it would bring in).
In the meantime, libs voted in a PotatoBrain. They voted in a man in cognitive decline with a history of poor policy decisions dating back nearly a half-century. Elections have consequences. Those consequences SHOULD have consequences of their own.
We should not be eager bail out those irresponsible voters with a tool like impeachment. Anyone clueless enough to support election of a PotatoBrain should have to suffer the consequences until they themselves beg for remedy. When they do, they should NOT be given a second bite at the apple vis-a-vis impeachment or the 25thA with a pneumoencephalic like Kamala Harris.

She filed three.
Was quoted yesterday as saying she has three groups of R's:
-On board let's go!
-Supportive but time will really tell
-Pissed. "Not know" and some the "never" crowd
I don't remember any direct quote to %'s or even in context.

Haven't you learned by now? 95% of Republican politicians are the biggest pussies in the world

Joe won't live to see 2022. His health is rapidly declining. I would not be surprised at all if he has to be wiped.

I'd rather them focus on something that they could actually accomplish. If there is anything.

You people act like I’m defending Biden. I’m not. He’s a dangerous idiot.
I’m defending the Constitution.

Impeachment proceedings can only begin in the House. Hopefully, if the Republicans win that in 2022, someone with cajones will start them. One can hope, right?

Still hiding in the Capitol.

Republicans are only good for talking big and bad on TV. They are useless at everything else

This
All political kabuki theater should be rejected. And “they would do it if trump was President” isn’t grounds for doing it.
Everyone on both sides should quit using the impeachment process as a bullshite pandering exercise.

This. As long as Pelosi is Speaker she can block any impeachment proceedings from starting.

This is ironic, considering that only talking big and bad on TV (I.e., calling for an impeachment that has no chance of even getting a House subcommittee hearing) is what this thread is calling for.

What do you think is more beneficial to the Republican Party, impeaching Biden and having Harris as President or watching the Dems floundering on a daily basis ?
Posted on 8/25/21 at 4:01 pm to ChexMix
Cowards. They don't want to risk losing their gravy train deals in D.C.
Posted on 8/25/21 at 4:04 pm to ChexMix
You do realize who would be next and who would be next after that either way we’re totally fooked.

This X 10^23
So many people (including a large part of this board) posture and preen as being disgusted with and above political theatre, but gladly partake in the jersey-swap bullshite that happens as soon as the sides change.

What good would it do? It won't even get to the floor for a House vote.
I'd rather them spend their time on something productive. But Congress does not do anything productive. So I'd rather them just keep getting paid to do nothing, unless they decide to self immolate which I would support.

In a recent local interview with Scalise, he was asked point-blank with all that's going on and what has happened in barely 8 months in office, what is the Congress doing now in preparation for impeachment of this President.
Scalise went through a long discourse/ramble that did everything but answer the host's question.
So, basically, no, they're no specific moves in place to put this in motion, even as grounds for impeachment mount.
He didn't even mention the moves of Taylor-Green.
They're obviously just tolerating her. She actually threatens them by forcing them to make a move they don't have the spine, gonads, stomach to do.
But then what type of victory would it be to remove a mental defective and replacing him with an opportunistic, leftist, braying political courtesan.
Scalise took a 7.62 for his country, and basically died at least twice on the operating table, but he's still mired in the characteristic Pub abject attitude to remain in a subservient position to the Dems, just to remain insulated and above the fray from the "ists/isms" they've used so effectively against the Pubs - and anybody else - for so long.
