He is
Problem is they won’t do it unless you have other health conditions
Friend was denied by their Dr because she didn’t have underlying conditions & was told to find something OTC to take

My sister's doctor told her she was not old or fat enough to get them. Obviously he said it in a nicer way.

These are the criteria for receiving mAb therapy per LDH:

quote:

Have a positive test for SARS-CoV-2 (molecular/PCR or antigen)
• Are within 10 days of the start of their symptoms
• Are at least 12 years of age or older and weigh at least 40 kilograms (88 pounds)
Are at a high risk for progressing to severe COVID-19 and/or hospitalization

That last bullet point is subjective. Apparently in Florida and Texas they have a much broader definition of high risk and have reduced hospitalizations by 70%. If Louisiana hospitals are stingy with mAb therapy then I can see why they recently had problems with hospital overcrowding (which is not a bad thing from a money making perspective).

Like 99% of people that get covid don't need this therapy.
