re: Nerlens Noel suing everyone’s favorite agent

Noel's case will get dismissed on summary judgment if its an uncontroverted fact, that Noel met Paul at a party and Paul suggested he declined the Mavs deal before contractually becoming his agent. Sounds like Karma playing a part, bc I'm more than sure Noel had an agent, via contract, at the time he talked to Paul. Its the old adage, grass aint always greener on the other side.
Also, despite losing out on the deal allegedly on the advice of Paul, he still retained his services up until 6 months ago.
An agent is like a stockbroker or investment banker or lawyer. You, the client, pay them for their perceived, advanced knowledge of a discipline or field that you have not studied yourself/procured necessary license. However, regardless of the advice, good or bad, the client is the one that ultimately decides how to proceed based on the info provided by the agent or whomever, which is standard language in a contract.
Im sure Klutch's contract has a disclaimer or clause stating all of the above, in considerable detail.
If such is the case and from what has been admitted to by Noel, in his own pleadings, dude ain't getting shite. Talk about opening Pandora's box.
Unless he can clearly PROVE malpractice on Paul's part, which is far more difficult than most people realize, in a court of law, then he just lost more money suing to get legally told he was stupid not to take the bag.
I guess he got the feels again, dejavu or embarrassed all over again bc his name was brought up in relation to Dennis Schroeder's debacle. Get used to it Nerlens everytime this scenario happens regardless of sport.
Dennis like, "I hope justice is served, so I can follow the blueprint to getting what's mine." And it will be, recognize when u are getting a fair deal and stop being greedy. This is just the other side of betting on one's self. He lost.

Noel was probably told by his lawyer that he would lose this suit. It's still probably worth it to him as a FU to Klutch.

The lawsuit states that Rich Paul withheld offers, so Noel wouldn't even have the option to accept if he didn't know they existed. That's the sticking point.

And its a valid assertion, one that if it were completely true, would constitute an injury and should merit a compensatory judgment in his favor.
I didnt touch upon it for a few simple reasons. I don't believe it to necessarily true bc 1.) Noel wasn't worth more than that particular offer from the Mavs as he was not a Stretch 5 and he got hurt, to boot 2.) Noel's value was declining due to the traditional Center position overall's worth to team building being of less importance. 3.) Klutch Sports has the league hostage right now and they are securing above market deals for nearly everyone of their clients. 4.) Noel KEPT Klutch as his agent presumably AFTER allegedly learning of the transgressions 5.) Noel sues Klutch ONLY AFTER Paul files his grievance.
Nevermind "learning of" alleged, withheld offers, one would think Noel would have fired Paul immediately after the Mavs contract was off the table bc he hired Paul solely to beat the Mavs offer. Soon as that didnt materialize and I've lost millions and become a laughingstock, one would reasonably assume a person would fire the agent ASAP. That didnt happen here and that is Noel's biggest problem to his assertions.

[Fischer] Sources confirm that the 76ers were indeed interested in landing Noel before Philadelphia shifted its sights to Al Horford after being unable to reach Rich Paul. The Clippers and Rockets also attempted to contact Rich Paul that same offseason, also to no avail.
Not only just Philly. But Clippers and Rockets were ignored also. Fk Rich Paul and Klutch.

Zach Lavine is signing with Klutch

Who did LaVine become best friends with on the Olympic team? Just curious where he wants to go.

Lavine is going nowhere now that Klutch has sunk their claws into the Bulls.

AD gonna force a trade to Chicago when Lebron retires?

What does this have to do with the Pelicans
Posted on 8/28/21 at 12:52 pm to WhySoSerious
That's like asking what do the Falcons blowing leads have to do with the Saints.
Posted on 8/28/21 at 12:54 pm to WhySoSerious
Rich Paul talked AD into requesting a trade, and he worked Lonzo out of New Orleans in a shady way that started a tampering investigation which might have other effects on us, depending on the outcome.
So, we have good reason to dislike Klutch, and talking about this is appropriate for the board.
[Edit: TigerATL said it better.]
