fisticuffs? or that over politicized mumbo jumbo you posted?
Since you are a loyal Trump club member, how would Trump have protected the Afghani Christians from persecution under the Taliban? Show your work.

Trump didn't do this.
Okay. My mistake. Like Trump told them he would do if they violated the agreement. Everyone knew what I was saying. Including you.
And we all know he would have. Pretend this would have gone the same with Trump in office if you want. We all know it wouldn't have.

Answer the fricking questions:
quote:
Did Trump mandate we remove our military in the dead of night without telling our allies, *before* we evacuated civilians?
Did Trump mandate the President disappear for days at a time while American citizens were unable to be evacuated?
Did Trump mandate that the US military not be allowed to go outside the wire to rescue citizens while other NATO countries were doing it the entire time?

Don't expect honest discourse from TBoy. He has to defend the people he perceives as better than all of us.

Yep. We were some assholes. About 4-7 centuries ago.
Now. Not so much. We maybe racist still. But just a little bit. Nobody’s throwing black folks off cliffs for “practicing “ their blackness.
Here we wail about micro-aggressions. What’s an Afghanistan micro aggression? Gang raping but not killing an infidel woman??
Yeah, it was absolutely mind numbing when Obama invoked the Crusades when trying to downplay modern Islamic terrorism. That's the insane mentality that terrorists use to justify killing their own neighbors.

I know he won't. I just want to keep rubbing his nose in his own hypocritical bullshite.

Also ignores the fact that the Crusades were fighting Muslims. Not sure how anyone alive today could look back and say, "oh man, that makes no sense to me. CHRISTIAN AGGRESSION!"

When have i mentioned 45 in this thread? It’s been 8 months man, let it go. time to move on.

honestly, we have no way of knowing how former President Trump would’ve handled the exit of Afghanistan. I find it rather silly to argue what a former President would have done vs what the current President did do. As their policies don’t often transfer over these days. (see Paris Climate Accord, Keystone, Southern Border, Nordstream 2, etc, etc)
And that’s not really the point as 45 wasn’t the Commander in Chief when the abrupt, overnight, careless, exit of Afghanistan took place.
direct quote from the current President:

I made the decision. The buck stops with me.

I'm no Trump supporter but I firmly believe that Biden and his people knew this would be messy and they'd be able to dump it all on Trump like Obama did Bush. They failed.

neither side is innocent of the “well, the previous administration did X” blame game. i guess that’s one of the outcomes of the political climate being so polarized as it is.

International public opinion, nor the opinions of those who are most affected by America’s abandoning people and throwing them to the wolves care one iota about which political party is in office or which president or legislator did this or that. All they see is America blew stuff up, started something, and then left it in chaos when they had enough fun and decided to go home.
They care that America gave them their word and after they put their lives on the line for that word, America got out of Dodge and left them to their fate.
The secret to this is the same with Vietnam and other such incidents. If you’re not willing to see it through to conclusion, do not involve yourself in it, but If you do decide to do so, then take some medication for your ADHD and stay focused until it’s done. Either way, but don’t leave the world in a hot mess because you lost interest, focus, or patience. If it’s important enough to take lives and lose lives over, then it’s important enough to finish the job you started.

quote:Exactly, they say “for the 1000th time it’s not that we left but how we left”, “oh but we should keep some troops there and provide air support.” Lol that isn’t leaving. It also violates the agreement Trump made.
Your talking about what we can control with 2,500 troops and bombing. That isn’t leaving

The war hawks are sad we are getting out. There is no other reason to bring up stuff constantly about how bad the Taliban is. They were going to take over the second we left no matter what. So unless one advocates for us staying forever, what is the point of harping on how bad they are? There are terrible regimes and things that go on all over the world.
Posted on 8/22/21 at 3:17 pm to Mike da Tigah
We did.
The Taliban have people on the inside at every fob or installation we had over there. It’s always been that way

I disagree so much with your last paragraph. Sunken cost fallacy is what comes to mind. Obviously not starting something that is a bad idea in the first place is most optimal. But there is merit in realizing a mistake was made and not continuing down the wrong path.

Their actions show that they must find Taliban rule acceptable.

This statement reflects an ignorance of the history of Christianity.
Well if you want to go back hundreds of years then you can lump in any major religion and ideology. I don’t see Christians killing minority religions today.
