I have had a similar experience, not with a fib but with irregular heartbeat. For years it would happen very rarely, would last a day, two days, a week at the most, then I wouldn’t have another episode for six months to a year. Never bothered me too much bc apparently irregular heartbeat is fairly common. Well a couple of years ago, I had an episode and it lasted months nearly every night going to bed. It scared the shite out of me. Tried to figure out what my trigger is but couldn’t. One day, I started taking Lyte Show, which is an electrolyte supplement, because I was having muscle cramping. That week, I stopped having irregular heartbeat episodes. Talked to my doctor about it, and he said absolutely an electrolyte imbalance can cause irregular heartbeat. Found my trigger and found the solution.

Going to make a wild guess that supplement contains Magnesium.
