weather delays and postponements really mess with these days off for pitchers

All I have is on the LLWS website.

https://www.littleleague.org/world-series/2021/llbws/tournaments/world-series/

They say the current Hawaii game and the upcoming Texas game are in a weather delay and that the South Dakota game has been postponed.

Just found this:
"Due to the impact of inclement weather, and in the interest of concluding the games at the Little League Baseball® Word Series in time for the Little Leaguers® to attend the MLB Little League® Classic at Historic Bowman Field, Games 15 and 16, originally scheduled for Sunday, August 22 at 1 p.m. and 2 p.m., have been postponed."

https://www.littleleague.org/world-series/2021/llbws/news/game-16-of-the-little-league-baseball-world-series-postponed/

Those games are Michigan vs. Texas and Oregon vs. South Dakota.

You know the South Dakota coaches and players are jumping for joy right now and hoping for more bad weather in the coming days.

Monday, August 23

Game 15 – 1 p.m. – Michigan vs. Texas – Volunteer Stadium — ESPN
Game 16 – 3 p.m. – Oregon vs. South Dakota – Lamade Stadium – ESPN
Game 19 – 5 p.m. – Louisiana vs. Ohio – Volunteer Stadium – ESPN2
Game 20 – 7 p.m. – Washington vs. Loser of Game 14 (Hawaii - Nebraska) – ESPN2

What that kid has done up to this point is phenomenal. You can pick apart the mound distance and all of that stuff, but those numbers are just amazing no matter which way you slice it. I'm sure if they get to the end some of those teams will be able to touch him up a little bit, but wow.

I'm no expert but some of the teams have been really impressive, and some have been underwhelming.

If Lafayette can reach the point of having that lefty pitch again, they can go far. That team seems solid, but that little catcher is a weakness. Idk if he's being coached that way, or if he's over exaggerating things himself, but he cost them a run for sure in the first game. He seems to be earning his pitchers some ball calls by the way he's setting up. Whats the point of standing up, and setting up a foot in the opposite batters back? His pitcher wasn't hitting those spots anyway. And some were borderline strikes that he wasn't getting calls on because he was having to reach back over the plate to catch them.

Hawaii vs Nebraska has resumed from the weather delay. Bottom of the last inning HI 3 NE 0. Nebraska is batting and has 2 on with no outs.

HTT - I doubt you watched the regional or the state tournament for that matter. The little catcher for Laffy is far from a liability. He has been solid every game except against South Dakota when he did have a couple passed balls that cost them a run. Dude is a ball player. And no, he is not related to me.

No I haven't watched anything except the LLWS. I have a very limited sample size to base that opinion on. It's all off the mistakes early in the first game. And then I find the way they have him set up sometimes odd. I doubt that's on him though, since the coaches could easily correct that if they didn't want it.

Hawaii is teeing off on this poor kid.

What’s on the face masks for the Hawaii players??

Is it a British flag?

Sawyer is one of the team’s inspirational leaders.

Lafayette has been changing their lineup regularly since the state tournament ended. At times, Sawyer is the lead off hitter. He had an inside the park home run in the state tournament.

When I posted the game story on Twitter, some loser of a father started taking shots at Lafayette, saying they cheated by stealing signs

I’d punch this guy in the face if he was standing here

Stealing signs? They had cameras set up, and were beating on trash cans? Or were they trying to pick up sign patterns from other coaches?

You suck as a player/coach if you aren't doing the second one.

Ahh yeah. He said they stole signs, and posted a clip showing. The runner on second base pretty clearly told the batter that a curve ball was coming.

The poster said he believes this is against LLWS rules. That's some weak shite though. Why not mix your signals up with a runner on second? If you are throwing up a "2," why wouldn't you help your teammate out?

It's the same as picking up the signals that a coach is giving. If they are easy enough for the other team to figure out, then that's a problem with with that coaches signals.

2-0 today moves me to 4-2 since i started making picks

ill stick with michigan and oregon that i picked today for tomorrow but dont love either. feel pretty good about louisiana, but ohio isnt a bad team at all.

nebraska has been surprisingly good and the comeback today against hawaii was very unexpected. ill go with washington, though, for basically no reason
