I told my dad after SD lost in the finals that coming in 2nd in the regionals would've set Lafayette up for a better run. I really think they beat SD if anyone else in the entire tournament other than Weir was pitching. Good news is they wont see anyone else that talented on the mound. I dont care much for this kid pitching for Washington. He just struck me as a smartass in the regionals. Twice in one game the ump made the correct call in a play he was involved in and he threw his hands up incredulously then immediately looked to his coach and told them to review. Both times it was upheld. I probably shouldn't be saying that about a 12 year old I dont even know but it just rubbed me the wrong way.

This kid pitching for Washington should not be able to pause in mid wind up and or wiggle his shoulders on some pitches, but then have a normal wind up on other pitches.

Has probably been said, but Louisiana winning their regional is probably the worst thing that could have happened to them

Well, the good news for Lafayette, Louisiana is that Eastbank LL team also lost their first game then routed every game after that to win the entire thing.

Take it back please.

You may actually be worse than the Dick Vitale fan who posts here and is always wrong on his picks.

You cursed the SE region and built the Great Lakes region into a monster powerhouse. Leave Louisiana alone

lol this was definitely not the year to back the southeast.

southwest and west are doing fine, though, louisiana just ran into the buzzsaw.

still feeling confident in hawaii. hawaii, california, texas, michigan all look really good. louisiana can still make their run, too.

So how’s this Pennsylvania team that Lafayette is facing?

No way their pitching, especially their #2 starter is in the same ballpark as that Weir kid yesterday.

Hopefully they knock the cover off the ball today and don’t let yesterday ruin their confidence.

Weir is the best in the tournament.

Buckley and Tergio are Pennsylvania’s two “No. 2 arms.”

Tergio pitched a little relief yesterday. I expect they’ll start Buckley. You can the region stats here

The quality of pitching really falls off the table when you get to some of these teams’ bullpen
