Louisiana coach sounds confident. Says they have seen pitchers as good as Weir. Then almost insinuates, while talking about the pitchers they have faced, that they have seen better. I hope he is right

He agrees with you on the South Lake Charles ace.

They are going to have to have a much better game at the plate than they did in the regional championship game. Texas East was scraping the bottom of the barrel and they didn't get anything going until the 5th where almost all the damage they did came on errors and walks. While decent SD isnt as strong at the plate and made a decent amount of errors in their regional so I think if Lafayette puts the ball in play consistently and doesn't just strike out they will come out on top. It should be a good game. That Tennessee/Ohio game was great baseball.

think there are like 8-10 teams in this tournament that would have won the midwest region fairly easily

You’re confusing the Midwest with the Northwest and the New England region.

Midwest is solid and also has Kentucky.

They just came out of a loser's bracket to make it to here. This one will be much tougher though.

These are all pretty damn good teams when their aces are pitching. After the 1st and 2nd rounds a lot of these teams will not be as good as they appear right now.

Should be a very interesting tournament

They said that NJ was given the Mexico pack for the LLWS. I don't think I like it. They look like the Mexican team and Nebraska looks like the Australian team.

I hope Louisiana doesn't come out dressed like Japan or other international team.

It sucks these kids don't get the jerseys showing which region they are representing. They should've at least given them to the regional winners and gave the generic "Little League" ones to the teams that came in 2nd.

They have a very liberal strike zone, especially on the outside corner

Nebraska beat New Jersey, even though the Texas A&M poster said the Midwest region is mediocre

Louisiana is going to have the same orange/yellow combo that the Eastbank team from LA had last LLWS.

The Great Lakes runner-up beat the Southeast champion yesterday. Today it is the Great Lakes champ vs the SE runner-up.

great lakes very well might go 2-0 versus the southeast to start. i was definitely pulling for ohio, i live in cincinnati not far from hamilton.

yesterday was a great game and ohio's best player is probably one of the best 3-5 players in the tournament.

unfortunately they got probably the toughest draw possible.

tennessee is definitely beating new hampshire tomorrow and then they are right back in it.
