Max Kellerman expected to be removed from ESPN’s ‘First Take’

It is Stephen A’s world and Max Kellerman soon won’t be part of it.
Kellerman is expected to be removed off ESPN’s “First Take,” the show in which he and Stephen A. Smith verbally battle each day, going hot take for hot take, sources confirmed.
This is not the end of the Kellerman at ESPN, as he is likely to have an increased role on ESPN Radio and potentially his own TV show, according to sources. He already does a boxing-focused program.
Front Office Sports first reported the news. ESPN declined comment.
For now, ESPN does not plan on replacing Kellerman with anyone in particular. Instead, a rotation of verbal sparring partners will likely make the short walk over each morning from another ESPN show, “Get Up,” which is located in the same Seaport studios. Molly Qerim is expected to continue to host, but Smith is the undisputed star.

The career trajectory of Stephen A. Smith is fascinating.
Dude paid his dues being a beat writer at a newspaper, became a columnist and then straight up became a boisterous loud mouth which got him to ESPN. He was at the top of the world there, then fell hard because people got tired of him yelling at them.
He didn't change at all, but media did and he started the climb again and now he is the most powerful man in sports.
It's sad that this is where we are, but interesting.

They probably feel like Kellerman costs too much to keep him on the show.
I’m sure they can just rotate different ESPN personalities w SAS and probably have similar numbers.

How does the word "removed" and promotion to his own TV show get used in the same article?

"Journalism"
At least this one made it past the first sentence before there was a typo.

Translation: They don't want another host to become big enough to have large salary demands later on.
