Travel Bag Recs

I'm anticipating some travel coming up where I'd like to sneak away and play with my recently upgraded irons. In doing some travel bag research, obviously many options. What are some of the best, more reliable out there in a $100-$250 range? Is that too low? What should I stay away from. Of course I want to avoid having to can it after a tear from the first use.TIA

I concur.

Get a soft bad. Lot of rental cars are problematic with the hard cases.
I have one with drop down wheels when pulling. I can push my clubs through an airport with one finger.

This is the only way to go.

Ship sticks with insurance. Just bought a new set, so i don't feel the same but i always hoped they would damage them and would buy me a new set. Plus you don't have to drag them around when traveling.

If you go with ship sticks, make sure you notify the course that your clubs will be arriving and give them the tracking number.

You should really bring the plane in for a good travel bag fitting.

The Amazon Basics soft one is just fine and it's like $60 - Obviously you can spend more but in my experience it's a bit exorbitant to spend $200 on a travel bag.

It's a lot cheaper than replacing broken clubs.

Agree with a club glove + a stiff arm

I also use club glove + stiff arm. You get what you pay for with travel bags. Whether it’s worth it depends on how much you value your clubs though

I used this on trip to Mexico and it was fine. I did carefully pack the bag though. I stuck a couple towels in between the clubs and bungeed them together around the stiff arm (driver was directly under the arm cap). No issues through multiple transfers. You could easily stuff an old pillow or some kind of foam in there if you want more padding. There is plenty of room.
Amazon bag frequently goes for about $40.

Sun Mountain ClubGlider has been a great product for me. I travel a lot with my clubs. I use the GC backbone was well.

I was hoping someone would respond to this. I saw one in the airport the other day. It looks like very handy to pull since it kinda stands up. I may go this route when I need to replace mine.
