Is this the best game ever?

Incredible game. So many LSU heroes.
My MVP - Burrow. Clyde was a close second.
Many thought this team would be average... Not me.

This is my favorite time of the year. I’ve always gotten extremely fired up for the first LSU football game of the season. Sucks when we lose the first game (it’s happen). But, if we win, the momentum and excitement continues to build. This year is our year – 15-0 baby! First Texas, then Florida, then Auburn, and if everything goes right – the Gumps from Alabama. We finish with kicking Georgia’s butt in Atlanta, and then on to the CFB Playoffs for the National Championship. The National Championship is in New Orleans. Perfect for our grand finale... Go Tigers!

I don’t remember many thinking that was an average team.

It was certainly one of the best LSU regular season victories ever - if not the biggest.

We had gotten used to losing to Bama every year, but that game broke the mental block, both for me and the team. That's when I really started to believe that we had something special.

It's all mental.
I love this motivational vid. Good stuff from a Long Horn... But his message is true.

Not the best game ever, but the interception, personal foul on Bama, and TD pass to Clyde right before halftime makes me laugh out loud every time I rewatch it.

IMO, the championship games are bigger simply because they consummated a championship.
As for regular season games (and we've had a great football history), and considering the context, IMO, it was the best regular season win ever.
If you disagree, nominate your regular season for discussion.

Man everything about that year was awesome.
I do believe it was like the 150 anniversary of college football and the last time we would see college football played like it was supposed to be played. Covid ruined last year and now the NIL shite begins. Glad we won it all in 2019

What is your favorite game ever?
I wonder if it was a special moment with the person you were with? A memorable moment with someone unique that made that game special for you.
Personally, I will never forget the 1993 LSU win over Bama... What a weekend with my high school Bama friend. We still, to this day, talk about that game.

I'll answer you guys at the same time, because it's the same answer.
The 2003 Georgia game at home. UGA was coming off a 1-loss season, SEC championship, and with Pollack and Greene returning, were national title contenders.
College Gameday was there, the game was low-scoring, and was tense throughout. The "LSU" chant that broke out after UGA tied it late was like nothing I've ever heard before or since. Then Skyler's winning TD catch was a biblical burst of noise in the student section.
That game was like us finally sticking our flag in the ground as an elite program. We had great wins like '93 Bama or '97 Florida, but we could never follow it up. The '03 UGA game felt like we had finally arrived where we belonged.

that was a great win but everyon, and there are lots on this board, acting like lsu whipped that arse are dumb
what bama did to lsu last year was an asswhipping
without looking it up, i think lsu won by 4 pts, hardly an arse whooping

Five points, but to be fair, we were whooping that arse for most of the game. It was a 20 point lead at halftime, and they were always playing catch-up.
Joe had a deflected pass picked early in the 2nd half when we were driving to bury them further, and Bama got that fluke bomb TD pass with a minute to go when we screwed up the coverage. The final score could've been worse.
