Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated TIA.
Was looking at this one online. Not sure if its overpriced, seems legit, or a bad design?

Installed mine 3 weeks ago. Took me right at an hour by myself.
Have been through plenty of rain over the last weeks and whether driving or parked I only get a couple drips in the far back corner. I can deal with that.

This. Bakflips are some bad motherfrickers. I’ve put mine through absolute hell for 5+ years from heavy, heavy use to soaking it in harsh chemicals and it still works perfectly and looks new. I could not be happier with a product than I am with my bakflip

I had a bak flip on my Super Duty.
When I downsized to a Tacoma a few months ago, I bought a RUGGED LINER E-SERIES HARD FOLD TONNEAU COVER.
Don't do it. It is already warping. And the handles that pull down to lock it in place at the tailgate are a pain in the arse.
I'll be going back to the Bak Flip next time.

If you drive a newer f150, get one that will open with the tailgate up. New f150s don't have a handle to open the tailgate manually and rely on a POS plastic piece inside the tailgate that can fail. You'll be locked out of your bed if it fails and your cover needs the tailgate open for access. Mine is a 2017 and it failed at 2 years old.

This is the only answer. Put one on my 2016 last year, by far the best purchase I have made for my truck.

Tyger Tri-Fold has been great for us.

Backflip MX4 or Lomax
Check out the Lomax, I was having a tough time choosing between them before I found a OEM one for my Tacoma for a too good to pass up price.

BakFlip here too with the F1 on a 2016 F150. Not sure why it took me this long to start using covers. But I’m definitely gonna have one on any new truck going forward.
