Not an insect, but if we're including gelatinous blobs I'm going with the Portuguese Man of War I stepped on in Key West. Holy shite!

I went some 29 years without being stung by a wasp and then I got stung by the same wasp 3 times in one day. That was probably the most painful. I didn't know they could strike so fast.

3 yellow jackets stung me all at one time, that pain went straight to my nervous system.

Ohhh... and when I was 2 I fell in a pile of fire ants, I'm guessing my mother wasn't the most attentive...had to stay in hospital over a week.

I was stung by a lot of things growing up, but this is in my mind, though I’m not sure if it’s technically a sting.

Red Wasp sucks pretty bad. A little chewing tobacco and a bandaid or tape on the sting will help a bunch though.

Yellow jacket got me on the back of my ankle Saturday. I've got a really nice cankle going and it still hurts to walk. I didn't even do anything to that a-hole.

Hornet on end of big toe. I now and forever shake out my shoes and boots before putting them on.

Yep. Multiple yellow jackets at once is all I’ve got. If that’s a “2”, then I hope to never experience a “3” or “4” on this scale.

The velvet ant made me get light headed.

The MFr hurt a whole lot.

I was a straight up little bitch and my eyes watered
