This is our 2nd year in the new lease. Last year there were hardly any really good bucks to shoot. Most with pencil thin racks, but the bucks were plentiiful. Still a lot of young up and comers. But after not really having a target buck last year, I’m excited to get after 1 of the top 4 bucks i have. After one full year of feeding the results are looking quite good. How are your bucks looking this year? We are still lacking some does, but i think it will sort itself out the next few years. We only have 10 hunters on 3000 acres.

Are you in that lease with some offshore boys?

I haven’t decided on him. I know if I let him walk there is a good chance a neighbor shoots him, but I would like to give him one more year. We found his sheds last year. His brow times have grown 3-4 inches on each side. I have another buck on camera that’s right there with him.

I know your lease, glad to see there is some deer on there and not just bears.

Nothing crazy big this year, but we have some decent young bucks out there.

Very nice buck, wouldn’t be bad to shoot or let him go another year. He definitely has room to grow.

How do you know of us? Last year it seemed like it was bad but it was really only 2 boar bears tearing up feeders and such. This is the first bear we have on camera since last September. I’m glad there is a bear on the lease again, because bear is really good meat. Easily one of my favorite game now.
We are seeing double the deer now compared to last season, and they are way healthier

That first one is really nice, you got a lot of really great up and comers. Next year should be a great season for you!

Along the Saline near Dierks Lake. So you aren’t really too far from me.

Nope about an hour from our lease.
There are certain parts between us and you that hold big bucks.

He’s #1, and by far the oldest. I believe he is 6 now, i saw him last year but he only had half his rack. This is a picture from last year of the same 2 deer. As you can see , the other one exploded this year. He is either 3 or 4
The two in the middle are #2 (tall 8) and #3 (wide 9). I believe the tall 8 is 5 , he has prettt bad genetics and was a forked 7 point last year , feeding really helped him this year. And the wide 9 is a 4 y/o. Only planning to shoot 1 of the 4, so will have some studs the next few years.
