I feel like we're gonna lag behind with being able to keep up with everyone with the NIL. We got Canes and Walk Ons

How is that any different than a HS baseball player being drafted and earning $1M before his first pro pitch?

College Athletics has a monetary value and for 100years, the people who perform were the only ones not profiting

I hate to agree, but that is what it has become. There is nothing guaranteed until they sign the dotted line and even then they can transfer anytime!

Recruiting isn’t even heading down a bad path. This class is looking good so far and should finish out nicely.

They didnt get cash but they got a degree, they got showcased under the brightest lights, unparalleled healthcare+nutrition... It will be interesting to see how this plays out but Im expecting some players to get into some shite with 10 grand+ @ thier disposal.

It makes me chuckle to watch avowed free market capitalists complain about their team having to outbid the competition.

It makes me chuckle when you compare that to college football. The good ole days are over

Blame the adults not the kids

If you want to go that route, specifically blame the fans who invest way too much into the kids.

I will never fault anyone who sees the opportunity to make more money, whether that is the kids wanting to market their name or the higher-ups who are just using capitalistic principles to cash in on the popularity of their product.

And how many sec titles do we have to show for it since 2012. I’ll hang up and listen.

Boom. Emery doesn’t need that attention. He’s staying home

It impossible to even care or get excited about players committing anymore.

For some us, it got old a long time ago.

Investing any emotional energy into the whims of 18 year old kids is a foolish game. Let me know who makes it to campus in August and then let's go from there. Anything more than that is for people who enjoy melodrama.

Alabama has offered him gay sex with Nick Saban. He is seriously considering it.

I'm kind of alarmed that you thought this was clever.

Maybe this had more to do with his fellow Pontchatoula teammate TJ Finley’s leaving and getting in his ear before he left???
