Is the MCU having just a hiccup or is it starting to fall apart?

There seems to be a lot going on with the MCU right now and it hasn’t really been positive.
1. Black Widow lawsuit
2. BW appearing to underperform
3. Appears to be no release of BW, Shang Chi, and The Eternals in China
Is this the start of Marvel fatigue or is it just a hiccup?
Might just be coincidences and doesn’t mean anything, but the MCU is looking more and more DC at the moment.
I am not as much into the movies as I used to be, and this is genuine curiosity.

Maybe. I'd say it depends on how Spider-Man does and how Doctor Strange does.

BW, Shang and Eternals are small fries. Let’s see what happens with Strange, Spidey and Thor

Did anyone ever even really want a Black Widow movie?
I just finished my 1st run through all of the Marvel movies and have little to no interest in Black Widow.

Is there a movie property that hasn't had hiccups in 2020 and 2021? With threats of more lockdowns to come, I'd say Disney has played it pretty smart investing in high quality streaming shows to build subscribers.
I doubt they ever top the hype of Endgame, but they're trying to settle into a longterm universe, and it'll work as long as they keep investing in cast and production.
Shang Chi and Eternals aren't really dependent on the rest, storywise, they're just other action/scifi movies that happen to derive from comic books, and there will be more.

They'll be fine but these upcoming movies just don't look like anything special. It feels anticlimactic after Endgame. However, they do have Xmen and FF4 coming up, so they're good.

Lawsuit won't come to much. And i think fans really didn't care about BW as many have said it should have been a phase 3 movie. The character is already dead and wasn't that interesting to begin with.

Mid-major releases and I'm not sure China's market is really open enough for them to spend the money.

I lost real interest the MCU after End Game. Now i might watch some of the properties, but i don't care about the continuity anymore. But i think this is really just a Covid hiccup. The MCU is still going to print money for the foreseeable future. But i do thing their popularity is waning.

I don't think it's that bad, but they aren't batting 1000 anymore, but they aren't whiffing on as many pitches as DC has.

I actually like the new Black Widow. I certainly like Yelena Belova a lot more than Captain Marvel.

Suicide Squad will be here in a week to lift everyone’s spirits.

This is shaking the ground in Hollywood circles.
This is Marvels sweetheart going for the juggler. Agents are rethinking contracts based on ticket sales. Marvel will have to pay more upfront for their A-list stars, with uncertainty on return. We might not ever see another Marvel team blockbuster like Avengers. The slope is officially slippery.

It didn’t even feel like a MCU movie at all. Just a pretty good action movie.

Falling apart. Seriously, Endgame was pretty much the end. Have epilogues with the Guardians (Thor alongside), Dr Strange, and Spider-Man, and then it’s time to end it.

t starting to fall apart
Scruffy, My inspiration, my muse,
I think the MCU intended to have their tv series interact with certain theatrical releases & the pandemic messed it up.
BW, F9, WW84, Zilla v Kong, all had issues.
Simply put, if the MCU is falling apart, what franchise is succeeding?

I think they’re just in a plateau phase until the X-men and F4 show up

One can only hope.
It is not my thing and I have no problem with folks that like it. I would just like to see more dramas, thrillers, and good comedies.
