re: How many countries have you been to?

27 countries across 6 continents.

I consider myself a more "accomplished" domestic traveler because I like to drive. I have driven a vehicle in every U.S. state, including extreme geographical points like Key West, Florida; Deadhorse, Alaska; York, Maine; San Diego, CA.; Kauai; and just about everywhere in between.

People have seen more places abroad and more places domestically, but probably not a ton who have seen more of both - especially if we're talking places of historical, architectural or geographical significance. IOW, if seeing the Great Wall of China, Mt. Everest, Burj Khalifa, Arctic Alaska, etc. carries more weight than a trip to Gatlinburg or a Sandals resort in Jamaica, then that would be in my favor as far as comparing.
