The NCAA tournament needs to get rid of auto bids for every conference, don’t know why you are arguing against that.

the reason the parity is so awful now is because our playoff system is retarded

this makes no sense. The old system was even worse.

CFB has always been dominated by a handful of teams, there was never parity per se, but there was more frequent changing of the guard if you will, more ebb and flow among those programs.

The current situation is in part what I call the Durant Effect great players wanting to go where other great players are so they can win rings, which becomes a self fulfilling prophecy. Part of the problem is bad hires by some top programs (I'm looking at you Texas, Michigan, USC) and some bad administrative decisions.

Watching Oklahoma play Texas in Atlanta for the SEC Championship is going to be fricking weird.

Wouldn’t be surprised to see SEC Championship played in Arlington at some point.

I don’t know. Consider it the Confederate national championship.

No it doesn't. FBS college football is the only sport I've ever heard of where every team doesn't enter the season in control of their own destiny, and fans are alright with that for some reason.

The 4 team setup gives the Oklahomas and NDs an easy way in as their little group's rep. When there are 8 or 12, the 2nd and 3rd SEC team are going to do a hell of a lot better overall than the #3/4 Big 12 /Pac reps and have an actual chance to win it some times.

Are you saying that a 16 seed has a higher chance to upset a 1 seed than say a Florida team over Bama or Clemson

I'm saying that football is incredibly more taxing in the body than basketball. You can't have a 64 team playoff in football. How dumb are you?

The BCS had a different champion like every year for the first 10 years. LSU was the first repeat champion in 2007. Then Florida then Alabama in 2011 and 2012 when Sabans dynasty basically hit the afterburners and started to separate. The BCS gave college football ridiculous diversity of champions.

When you see that a game is 1 vs 16 in the NCAA tournament, it’s really something like 1 vs any number from 25 to 80 because most 16 seeds are >100 in RPI

I was really thinking of the old MNC pre BCS system but this an example of correlation does not equal causation. Doubling the amount of the teams in the playoff is not why we've had a couple of teams dominate if we had the BCS the last 7 years it would be the same as it is now.
The 1-2 seeds in the playoff era:

2014: Bama - FSU
2015: Bama - Clemson
2016: Bama - Clemson
2017: Clemson - OU
2018: Bama - Clemson
2019: LSU - OSU
2020: Bama - Clemson
