"The FBI made me do it" isnt a defense you can use in court.

I don't see anywhere that they say its FBI Agents? It looks like informants - in others words convicts that give information to the FBI from the seedy side.

I mean they can try/use it, I worded it wrong, it wont work is what I meant to say.

Saagar and Krystal had a good breakdown of this on their show and yeah it looks bad. The only way it seems to me they may be able to skirt entrapment is that they were informants not agents. But I haven’t studied entrapment and I haven’t taken criminal law in over a decade so I could be completely wrong.

I love how you completely gloss over the fact the FBI were involved and helping these guys.

Everyone hates hearing this because they don't want to give up convenience, but these agencies don't even need a warrant anymore to track people. They can just buy it.

Motherboard has also shown how wide spanning the customer base for this sort of location data is, with the U.S. military and various law enforcement agencies also purchasing it, skirting the need to obtain a warrant.

The informants have handlers. The handlers are FBI agents. The handlers direct the informants as to what to do. I cannot begin to imagine regular ole do-gooder citizens simply seeking such a group out and having the legal wherewithal to put together a case solid enough to bring to trial. The FBI was no doubt coordinating the informants' actions.

Meanwhile they won’t go after drug dealing murderers - guess they’re too dangerous

I would tend to agree with you. Just am not read up on the law of entrapment and the many nuances of it. The FBI is not filled with dummies. And they have good lawyers. So it may not technically be entrapment even if it is fishy as frick.

Almost all "terror" plots are created by the FBI as part of its business model.
What is the business of the FBI? Extracting tax. What does it need to do that? A stable threat. Prob? Real terrorists are sporadic & make FBI look weak. Solution? Make them.

The FBI is giving guns to the mentally ill to attack people then leaping in to save the day, cameras rolling. What a bunch of jerks.

The FBI has ramped up its use of sting operations in terrorism cases, dispatching undercover agents to pose as jihadists and ensnare Americans suspected of backing ISIS, aka the Islamic State, Daesh, or ISIL. On Thursday, roughly 67% of prosecutions involving suspected ISIS supporters include evidence from undercover operations, according to The New York Times.

They're manufacturing terrorism cases," Michael German, a former undercover agent with the FBI who now researches national-security law at New York University's Brennan Center for Justice, told The Times. "These people are five steps away from being a danger to the United States."

Downs also said that the FBI often targets particularly vulnerable people, such as those with mental disabilities. "Very often, they [the FBI] target people who are genuinely psychotic, who are taking medication," he said.

I am not saying that, but just because the ATF sets up a huge gun sale and you sell them to them doesnt make it entrapment. Would you have had that many guns if they hadnt set up the sale? Probably not. Is it entrapment? No.
I dont feel sory for these guys, how about dont be anti govenment militia members and the FBI wont infiltrate your militia and plan a kidnapping with you?

The fact you typed this out and don't see the massive problem here is rather telling.

If the FBI sets up a drug deal and you sell them a million dollars worth of cocaine guess what, you're still guilty.
These guys trained for this kidnapping made plans for it. "The FBI made me do it" isnt a defense that's gonna get them any sympathy in court. I bet they get 20 years each at least.
You're an idiot. If I would have never sold them the cocaine if not for them "setting it up", then it's entrapment. What part of that do you not get? If you send an informant into my group, a group who has never dealt drugs before, and that informant talks us into dealing drugs, that is not legal. That group would have never kidnapped Whitmer if not for the informants. And you are OK with this?
