Reminds me of the local myrtle beach sting effort here in South Carolina where the dude kept going to rub and tugs over and over to build "evidence" against those businesses, the whole time letting them jerk his gherkin to completion.

This was an FBI led project. "FBI convinces rubes to join in kidnapping plot." Sounds like entrapment.

If the FBI sets up a drug deal and you sell them a million dollars worth of cocaine guess what, you're still guilty.
These guys trained for this kidnapping made plans for it. "The FBI made me do it" isnt a defense that's gonna get them any sympathy in court. I bet they get 20 years each at least.
