Republicans have become far too anti-free-trade and anti-globalization for my liking. Tariffs and protectionism aren't for me.
I work at a banking firm. I really should be voting for the Republicans so that tells you something.
I'm fortunate enough to make over $100K and I'm still a capitalist but I think immigration is pretty necessary for a country with an ageing population, that free trade is good for the country, and I wasn't a fan of Trump's rhetoric on any issue. I also don't think manufacturing is coming back and the US needs to continue its transition to a service-based economy.
I much preferred Mitt Romney and would probably vote for the Republicans if someone like him was running.

But it already did. Remember Obama said the same thing, that manufacturing couldn't come back, but then it did.
Why wouldn't we want to build our own shite? Is your conscience ok with our manufacturing being outsourced to slave labor in China? Is slavery ok with you as long as its not in your immediate vicinity?
You are like a weak woman who won't kill an animal themselves because they feel sympathy for it, but are more than happy for someone else to slaughter it for them so they can eat their hamburger.

You got that right. It ain't. China is where the factories are now, and that's where they will remain.

China using what amounts to slave labor while we are beholden to all sorts of regulations and taxes isn’t really free trade, though.
I think what you meant to say is that you like cheap trinkets made in Chinese slave shops is more important to you than having a strong American manufacturing sector.
And how to do you plan to employ all of these uneducated - illiterate 3rd worlders while at the same time offshoring American manufacturing?

Who are you talking about besides Trump? And I don't know if you took a look at the Democratic platform before they nominated Biden, but the exact tariff policies that Trump (and Bernie Sanders) were pushing were part of the stated platform until about the time COVID hit.

I've never heard any Republican object to legal immigration. Again, who are we talking about here?

I agree with this, but you realize there's only one of him and he's no longer relevant...right?

You support strengthening Obama care? You lose a ton of credibility here.
As someone in Healthcare with irons in many fires Obamacare is not at all well received and generally loathed in the medical community.
Granted the repubs are way too linked to big pharma to do a damn thing about it but as far as quality and affordability go the ACA has been a disaster. I can't express vehemently enough how awful it has been.

It really does tell us something.

Nonu, I agree with nothing you say, but thanks for being a stand up guy and stating your position. You say that you agree with open boarders. Are you aware that the US leads any other country in allowing legal immigration annually?
