O just drops those nuggets because he always needs people for others to blame for potential future failures without him actually explicitly throwing them under the bus.

You would be incorrect. Bill was the last assistant that O hired in his first staff.

O did hire Busch, but he did it in 2018, not on his first staff (2017). And the Busch hire was more an Aranda thing.

Correct, it was Aranda who sought out Busch for the staff.

Anyone paying attention knows. 2019 was so different from 2018 and 2020. Ensminger was there all 3 years, Brady only one.

No excuses this year, anything less than 11 regular season wins and I bet even O would consider it a failure

Yo Damone you are a failure as a fan and a failure at knowing squat about football. You and guys like you are a big reason we lose recruits.

There’s a lot anti-O sentiment in this thread. It’s pathetic y’all want to throw him out on his arse this soon after 2019.

2018 yes but 2020 with Brennan was the same offense it just was less efficient because Burrow and Co. weren’t running it.

Now once Brennan got hurt and you were stuck starting two true freshman QB’s of course you had to change the offense to fit. The offense was not the issue in 2020.

Stupid take.

All the more reason for him to be on notice.
We’ve seen coaches under achieve with top talent at LSU. It can’t happen again

So just exactly what do you want him to say? Our defense won't be as good? Our defense will suck? Coaches just can't do that. Want a team to lose faith in their coach have him shite all over his players.

You do recognize that there is space in between, "Our defense is going to be crap" and "Our defense looks better than at any point last season," right?

A coach can always just say, "I like how our defense is looking right now," etc. He can give praise and motivate and show faith in his players without making statements that have the potential to blow up in his face.

Dude, no. You can't go 0for 10 on 3rd downs against shite arse Mizzou and tell me with a straight face we were running the same offense. That's more than execution.

O needs to hire a well polished public speaker to do his talking.

The plays were the exact same plays they just weren’t very good at running it. I would argue the issue with the first three games was Ensminger tried to just plug in new pieces to the old offense instead of designing the offense around the personnel he had.

The plays are irrelevant if they aren't called at the right time. Please stop.

Y’all may not realize this but O was not a fan of Aranda’s scheme. It was not aggressive enough for him and it hurt LSU in DL recruiting.

Well O has yet to show he can field a competent defense without Aranda, so looks like it’s put up or shut up time.
