My point was even a dude who is in good shape pretending to be a woman can look better than an out of shape person pretending to be a model. 95% of people who have no idea who either person is would pick the first picture as being more deserving of a “swimsuit model”.

For decades, SI's Swimsuit Edition was like a second Christmas for guys. It featured the very hottest women in the entire world, and they would essentially fight over who got to be on the cover. Scroll through this link, and except for the 2016 covers that featured Rhonda Rousey for no good reason and the heavy chick in the middle, they've mostly been incredible. And that's just the covers. As as connoisseur from all the way back to probably '79, I can assure what was inside was many times even better.

But...that was back when SI was actually trying to cater to their actual audience...male sports fans. Also, notice what's missing from the tops of those older magazines in favor of what's on these.
These covers, and even these magazines are not produced to cater to what's left of their audience. They are produced to "start conversations" and to "open eyes" and "speak truth."
So we've gone from having the world's hottest supermodels scantily clad in photos from all around the world, to an incredibly average looking tennis player, a girl who looks like a stripper from a shitty club outside of Baltimore, and a literal man in a bikini. My point is, back when things didn't suck for no good reason, we were not left having to conclude that, "well...at least it's an actual woman and not a guy!"
