Lots of good options at safety...what a difference a year makes

Josh Williams is a nice story earning a scholarship last year but there’s just way too much talent for him to see the field. I see Ty Davis-Price getting half the carries with Emery and Kiner getting most of the rest. I don’t think Emery likes football as much as you’d hope and expect a guy of his talent because it’s year 3 and he still hasn’t put it all together. It’s no secret he was in O’s doghouse because he didn’t like picking up blitzers or blocking in general. TDP will come ready for his junior year and Kiner will show out early to see the field quickly. Emery should have been our starting RB last year, much less this year so I think if it hasn’t happened by now then it probably never will. I hope I’m wrong.

Tdp is starter at running back.
Dumervil is backing up rt and hill is backing up lt.

Don’t be shocked if Goodwin is getting a bulk of the carries midway through the year, kid has some serious talent. No disrespect to Kiner at all, but Goodwin has some jaw dropping speed

No chance Dumervil starts over Wire.
Actually Garrett Dellenger is ahead of Dumervil. Even Ed O said as much on OTB.

I think McGlothern needs to see some action in nickel.
Any cornerback position but nickel. As he isn't a good nickel guy.

I'm hearing from some insiders that Major Burns has already passed up Todd Harris and is probably going to be the starter when the season starts.

You hear anything on the QB battle?

Yeah Max has separated himself from Myles Brennan both in the locker room and on the field, per the insiders who are getting the information via conversations with the players.

It’s nothing against Myles, he’s got serious arm talent and can make all the NFL throws. Max just passes the eye test. When he’s on the field you can just feel he’s got that dog in him just like Burrow. I’m not saying he will be Joe but I think he is just more confident in the huddle and like you said, the players see it too and they will play their asses off for Max. The only bad part of this is I think if Myles transfers that he’s going to go to MS State which would be very strange seeing him in maroon and white.

If someone doesn’t take over for Hines at RG, we’re in for a long season again. He was horrible last year. Technically, functionally and playbook wise. He never knew what he was doing. His first step was always wrong. Not knowing the plays or who to block is a bad combo for an offensive line man.

Only reason he still played was Brad/Thomas were too out of shape to do any better and Martinez was occupied learning to be back up at C, LG, LT, and probably wasn't ready to play either. I say probably because who knows what Cregg was thinking.

Letting him sign with UGA was really dumb of LSU in the first place.

What happened was totally unpredictable. So I will give them a free pass. Anyway, in the end it worked out.

We are so thin at OT.
probably most important spot on team and O has not done a good job of stacking these positions. Hopefully with new oline coach he can recruit/ develop this spot better. Oline has been weak for so many years hoping Davis can finally start developing these guys.

Aren’t they looking at Ward at FS?

If McGlothern can really hold down the outside, what about a scheme with Stingley moving to nickel to roam the field and cause havoc like Honey Badger? That might be fun to watch!
