They mentioned something about the state record..I forget how long it was though. apparently it still had some air under it also.

Didn't that Corbello kid that kicked for LSU several years ago kicked FG's that far in highschool?

Seems like he sucked at LSU though.

E.A. I think....I had it on kinda as noise.....and heard the announcer and the crowd go crazy when it went through so I turned it up and paid attention. They were up 13-0 after the kick.

The kid from OCS kicked several 55+ a few years ago. He begged to go to LSU but didn't get an offer. I think he wound up at Moo State. Anyway, that's great for that kid. I guess some of those hurricane winds were at his back.

High school distances are deceiving. You get to put the ball on a tee. Still impressive though.

I don't think it's the state record, pretty sure Richey and possibly Corbello (his might have been in jamboree) kicked further.

Richey's longest was 57 but I think Corbello had a longer one. My little brother made a 47 & 49 and missed a 56 yarder off the crossbar in one game. The dumb bastard also missed two extra points that game as well.

Josh Lewis is his name, and 40+ yarders for him are a chip shot in games. 57 was a school record, but the announcer said the state record was 63, same as NFL, and I didnt catch the name of the kicker.

Lewis seriously puts 90% of his kickoffs in the endzone...which in high school, is an automatic touchback

I actually dont think he is the punter...but his dad played for LSU and was either a kicker or a punter I think
