Just recently learned I was an idiot for saying the phrase "for all intensive purposes". Apparently it's supposed to be said "for all intents and purposes".

I grew up calling my Tio Henry, my “Uncle Teal Henry”. My parents just could not get me to say it right til I was in high school.
