The 6 stages of gaslighting

There are six basic stages in the arguments of a liberal progressive democrat. These stages can be applied to almost any issue, but they will always behave in the same stages:
1. Denial: It doesn’t exist. You’re just a crazy and paranoid conspiracy theorist. Nobody is trying to do what you’re arguing against.
2. Minimization: Lol, you mad bro? This really isn’t the big deal you think it is. You’re too dumb and misinformed to understand the issue. It doesn’t mean what you think it means. :cue semantics argument that parses words: _____ did the same thing!
3. Personal attacks: Wow, racist/sexist/homophobic,etc much? Only a _____ would think this is a big deal.
4. Purposeful mischaracterization: Use a constitutional argument against you: You just hate freedom of speech, freedom of the press, states rights, civil rights, private business rights, etc if you oppose this. Opposing this is fascism.
5. Altruism: Yes, we do support this, but it’s for your benefit and actually aligns with your values!
6. Taunting: Yeah, and what are you gonna do about it?

This is a very strong post.
It would be powerful to point out the tactics as we see them on this board.

The right does it too these days.
Look at the Rufo guy who exposes CRT.
He claims actually the biggest victim of CRT is Asians not the white people that CRT talks shite about.
This falls under rules 1 and 2.

Nice breakdown. We see it and hear it every damn day. This facilitates rebuttal. Thanks.

That’s true, though, and bares out in admissions statistics for universities and med schools. Different races are held to different standards in order to be granted admissions to prestigious institutions, and Asians are held to the highest standards of all.

quote:This is where we're at. They've all become overnight experts on CRT and try to bog you down in a dialogue about minutiae. "Literal CRT isn't being taught in schools."

No, but it's being applied to the things that are taught in schools as well as NUMEROUS corporations.
Am I misunderstanding this?

Democrats have perfected this, but it's necessary to push horrible unpopular ideas.

Modern holistic standards used in diversity hiring and education admissions are based in CRT.
East Asians are considered “white-adjacent” because they “act white”.

Today’s version is very different from the affirmative action of the 80’s and 90’s.

All is true and if anyone has any doubts or thinks they can refute your OP.....they just need to watch 5-10 minutes of any Gaslight Media propaganda outlet of their choice. My suggestions are MSNBC, CNN, NPR, ABC, NBC, ABC...that should suffice.
